Uttarakhand volunteer program India
Volunteers can teach English to the school children in Uttrakhand and adjoining villages. Volunteers in this program work in local day care centres, called “Anganwadis”, which are not only for children but a centre for holistic learning for the mothers as well. Volunteers can play a significant role by providing the children and their mothers with the much needed knowledge about basics of health, love and care.
The Volunteers can even teach basic English (or any other language, like German, French, Japanese) to the group of Guides that guide the tourists to the cave and trekking.
Volunteers can even work with the teachers on innovative teaching practices.
